At some point, she was an opera singer.

I don't think she ever got so far as to perform opera -- she studied it as a child, but only for a few years before deciding she didn't have the passion or dedication required to make it a serious career goal. It did spark her interest in acting, though.

I've only heard her sing a couple of times -- in the musical Xena episode (I think it was called Bitter Suite) and when she was on Saturday Night Live -- but she was very good.

I havent ever seen the play,even the orginal one in the 80s!!

Took me long enough to find an original analogue copy of this movie!!! (Not all the first PARAMOUNT HOME VIDEO releases have the original master sadly -- I had one but it wasnt analogue then got an earlier one that is

)

Best music movie ever I think!!!
