I've only watched the first two episodes on the DVDs so far, but noticed that Gordon Jump (Arthur Carlson on WKRP) plays a bit part in the firat episode, and Harry Morgan (who was already well known before The Partridge Family) guest stars in episode 2.

I always wonder what happened to Andy Williams twin nephews. They were in a last season episode Singing Saying again, won't love me again. I thought they were cuties.

I think Arte Johnson was already famous by the time he was on The Partridge Family. He was a regular in "Rowan & Martin's Laugh In" --- which Dave Madden was also a cast member for 1 season.

To comment on another star that guested on The Partridge Family -- Richard Pryor... I think he was a fairly well known comic...but I do believe that he didn't shoot to widespread fame until he hosted Saturday Night Live.

How about Norman Fell (he was Mr. Roper in Three's Company) - he was in one of the episodes.

Holly Near became a popular 70's lesbian folksy-type singer. Sort of the Melissa Etheridge of her day. She is still fairly known today.

Vic Tayback was in the 7th episode, I noticed - he went on to do Alice in the later 70s. He'd also done a small part on several other sitcoms before he did Alice.

This will give you a good idea of just how many famous people were on
The Partridge family during it's 4-year run. Some even multiple times.

http://www.cmongethappy.com/eguide.html

For example did you know that Gordon Jump appeared in 7 episodes?
