I tried finding how many times Roger's been married, with no luck.

I think someone said somewhere he'd been married several times?

I'm wondering, cuz he and Sam are marrying on 06 SEP 2004 (Labor Day), at a BBQ the General's putting on for the whole gang.

(Oh, by the way... she's with child wink wink.)

The part in "The Gifts" where I was typing his initial thoughts on being a father, while the others are discussing what they're going to do for him for his 50th, had me crying my eyes out as I typed it (I'm such a mushball.) LOL that was a sight, me typing furiously with tears pouring down my face.

"...a BABY!

He gasped at the thought, catching his breath to prevent the sob waiting to escape. A father. I'm going to be a father. A son. Or a daughter. Didn't matter.

A little girl. She'll be Samantha in miniature, and her bright blue eyes will capture her daddy's heart the second he sees them.

A son. My little man. I'll teach him all the things Dad taught me. How to find joy in life. Throwing a ball. Climbing trees. And FLYING!"

I know, I know, most of y'all are probably thinking, THIS IS ROGER?

Sure, why not? He wants to be a father, doesn't he?

If any of you are reading my Crossover stories ("The Endeavour Series") and find something you REALLY think is out-of-character for Roger (besides my slight adjustments to age, giving him a specialty, a middle name and making him a Top Gun pilot), please let me know and cite some examples. I'm all about keeping him and Sam in character.

He'll start being a bit more clownish around the General soon, once he realizes O'Neill is nothing like Bellows, Schaeffer or Peterson. He's already a cut-up with Samantha, Daniel and Teal'c (the three members of SG-1.) One reason he loves Sam is because she's the first woman he's ever been with that can crack HIM up laughing! (Eg, when she gives the security camera the finger, that just about kills him!)

According to the TV movie "I Dream of Jeannie: 15 Years Later," Roger Healy has been married and divorced 5 times.

Fits in well with what I've written then in my IDOJ/Stargate crossover.
