Question Ummm, what's with having the characters NOT in the same scenes together?

They did this a few weeks back in an episode too where except for about a two second scene in bed together, Doug and Carrie didn't have a scene together. Tonight it happened again. What gives? Arthur had his opening scene with Carrie and then the three split up. Now it's been posted before that Jerry Stiller can't always make it to tapings so sometimes he's just not in the episode, period! But what's with the two leads not even having a line together over a 22 minute timespan? Not loving it I gotta tell ya!

Someone finally noticed. I`ve been asking that question for about 3 weeks now.

Are the Heffernan`s still married.

Word. I guess this is because of Kevin's movie? He was the only one by himself.

Very weird episode. And oh the Asian wife was one of the worst actresses I've seen. Yowza. What was up with them having the same bedroom as Doug and Carrie? It looked like they used the old set for their annoying neighbors that moved out.

Holly and Arthur are again the MVPs for me.

Yeah, maybe it is because of the movie. I thought they did a great job with it last week, but this episode was a bit weak.

Because of Kevin's movie?

Why would that matter? If he wasn't in the show at all, that would be one thing, but if he can film scences with people in general, he can film them with Carrie right? I don't get it?

Well, perhaps their schedules conflicted...or perhaps it is because of bad writing. No one really knows for sure.

It has to be because of a schedule conflict. Anything else is too depressing to think of. But they are handling it terribly. On a show like Friends, Jennifer Aniston I know had several scheduling conflicts but it was never made as obvious as this.

I actually thought the Asian couple was a good thing because if you're familiar with Queens, it has a huge Asian population and is the ethnicity most lacking on the show. But yeah, I agree that the depiction was awful.

ITA that these writers kinda suck. It's like so many sitcoms when the characters become parodies after a few years - Carrie pushing out the pregnant lady at the store comes to mind. Yuck.

That being said, some of this season has been enjoyable, but when they suck lately, they REALLY suck.
