My favorite character was James(John Amos). He was hilarious without even trying to be and he had a look that could KILL! The show lost a lot of its magic when he left in my opinion.

I would say my favorite has to be Jimmy Walker. but i thought if i mention my favorite i should mention my least favorite also which is Kieth. He had these songs he sang in some episodes that just weren't funny. He acted as if he was hilarious. but he was no JJ

I would have to say all of the original characters.......Florida because she was a strong black woman and if looks could kill man lookout she calmed James when he blew is stack which was often...James because i think in that day and time a father was needed in the tough projects James know he could scare the stuffing out of J.J. he too had a look that could bend steel...J.J. what could i say he was just plain old DYNOMITE to me he too had a serious side too so go on J.J.....Michael was just a militant midget he was to much he had a cause for everything and that made us kids at that time think, michael was for the people..Right ON Michael!......Thelma was just plain beautiful and her and J.J. had the best arguements and insults on television i loved it she could be sweet and sassy at the same times and still be smart at the same time....Willona man what a woman she was the best she and Florida had a friendship that would'nt quit just strong and supportive of one another on the other hand James and Willona had their run-ins man did they ever but they were still cool in the end....Man what a bunch of folks..I see reletives of mine in all the characters on Good Times.....Right ON for Good Times!!!
