Default The episode that really defined how stupid Vanessa Huxtable was-LOL

Today I watched the episode-"Truth or Consequences" and Vanessa broke her 10pm curfew. Vanessa then asked Rudy to lie for her but Rudy told that Vanessa was out with a boy instead of her girlfriends.

So here is the scene that showed how stupid Vanessa was. Once Cliff and Clair found out that Vanessa lied, they turned the couch toward the front door so that Vanessa would be lookin right at them when she came in the door. So when Vanessa comes in, she noticed that her parents were facing the front door and she just walks in and says-"Wy is the couch facing the door" Now normally a teenager would know something is up if they see their parents facing the front door-LOL So after Vanessa asked that dumb ass question, Cliff responded with a even more STUPID answer so he can play stupid right along with her. Cliff response was

"We heard on the news that it was going to be a snowstorm so we decided to turn the couch around toward the door so we can watch it"-LOL-LOL

This was a Classic Scene on the Cosby Show. Damm that was funny.

Vanessa was so dumb-lol She just walks in and not even phased by her parents facing the door. You would have thought that Vanessa would say to herself-"I think they know I was out with a boy since they are facing the door"

I even remember a similar situation on Diffrent Strokes when Arnold came in and Mr. Drummond and Maggie was facing the door. Arnold was normal enough to know that something was up-lol

Since I dont watch the Cosby Show much anymore because its on at a time when I'm not home, this board reminds me how funny the show is.

I think that Vanessa probaly knew damn well why her parents were facing the front door, but was trying not to admit it.

Vanessa really didn;t know why her parents had the couc facing the door-lol That's why i always thought that character was supposed to be slow. I mean how stupid can anyone be not to know that their parents know something. That's why Cliff responded with that dumb answer-lol

Well she showed her stupidity earlier in the ep. to me when she trusted Rudy to lie for her. C'mon Rudy was to young to know how to deceive her parents like Vanessa wanted.
But yeah the couch thing was funny. She showed her stupidity other times but I dont know off hand if they were before or after this episode.

1. She believed Theo was psychic
2. She couldn't think of a city in the drinking game (not like she got the letter Q or Z)
3. As she got older she still fought with Rudy like she the same age as Rudy
There are plenty more things that made her look stupid just too tired to think of them

Default Uh, people...

What is the deal with all this "I hate Vanessa"? I have been through at least three topics that bashes the character Vanessa. Personally, I did not have a problem with her. She was a teen. She did stupid things teens do. In season eight, I will say that she did get annoying with that Dabnis storyline, but people are not perfect. Whitley Gilbert got on my nerves on "A Different World", but I still liked her character, though.

I guess it was because out of the Huxtable Children, Vanessa was the WEIRDO. The other huxtable kids were normal-Theo, Rudy, and Denise.

BTW:did you hear That's My Mama is coming to DVD on Juy 26th? Details Are on the That's My Mama Board

Sorry, dude. Vanessa was more normal to me that Denise was. Denise would dress weird and in a funky style during seasons 1,2,6 and 7. Denise really stood out. Vanessa didn't strike me as weird at all, just normal. Don't get me wrong, I loved Denise. She cracked me up the most during season 2.
