Default A spinoff based on PAM????????

I saw the episode the other night that was supposed to jump start Pam's own spinoff which was going to be about her working for H&R Records. Glad this idea was never taken seriously by Fox-lol

Somewhere in tv it is written:

When a show that is still drawing reasonably good ratings is going off the air make one of the last episodes a pilot for one of the supporting players.

To me it would have better to continue the show without Gina, and get rid of Pam, and give Martin a new girlfriend. All that would have been much better than a Pam spinoff

I don't think Martin Lawrence wanted to continue the show and without Gina the show was off base. 5 years is when the contracts expire in tv anyway.

Fox was ready to give Martin another full year renewal (with Living Single getting the ax) but they got tired of Martin's problems (personal and on the set with Tisha Campbell). This was reported in Word Up Magazine and the AJC in March 1997.

Didn't like that episode either, especially when Jenna Von Oy would be playing ANOTHER wannabe down. I liked her better on Blossom than anything she did afterwards.

I think that PAM should have been spinned of once Tisha Campbell wanted to leave the show and that way they coukd have REPLACED Gina and carried on with the show. There wouldn't have been any more need to see Pam once Tisha Campbell left.
