Post Learning Questionnaire- PLEASE respond, test grade for me!

Hello my fellow people- I procrastinated on this stupid thing for long enough, so it's time I do it. I'm supposed to interview people in my school, but I wish death on them all, so I'm asking you 8 simple questions. I need at least 6-7 people to respond, and please be specific.

I can only ask current highschoolers/people who have graduated highschool to respond. I love you all dearly, but it's a focus on highschool classrooms

Thanks in advance to anyone who replies, it's a test grade for me. You get a gold star for today

1] For what main reason do you/did you listen to classroom lectures?

2]At what time of do you listen/did you listen best- morning, mid-morning, after lunch, end of day?

3]What physical classroom characteristics influence/influenced your listening the most?

4]Where do you sit/did you sit in the classroom if you want/wanted to learn the best?

5] What single characteristic of the instructor most influences/influenced your listening?

6] What single characteristic of your own most influences/influenced your listening?

7] What single characteristic on your part helps/helped you listen and comprehend your listening?

8] What single characteristic about the lecture or message most influences/influenced your listening?

I graduated from high school in 2003, so here I go...

1] For what main reason do you/did you listen to classroom lectures?
My teachers explained the material we would be reading/just read, and this allowed them to go in-depth. Sometimes they would hold discussions, which benefitted things further.

2] At what time of do you listen/did you listen best- morning, mid-morning, after lunch, end of day?
Somewhere between morning and lunchtime. I seemed to absorb the most information during 2nd-3rd periods (I usually had lunch after 4th period).

3] What physical classroom characteristics influence/influenced your listening the most?
Definitely having posters on the wall. It doesn't matter what the posters were of, just as long as the teacher had a few posters on the wall. I get floaters if there's too much white space and in turn, it made me antsy. Having pictures on the wall prevented me from getting floaters and my attention span was better. Same thing in college. It also helped if the classroom was small.

4] Where do you sit/did you sit in the classroom if you want/wanted to learn the best?
Usually just off to the side in the front row. Not dead center, like one to three seats from the center. Sometimes my desk was way over at the end of the front row.

5] What single characteristic of the instructor most influences/influenced your listening?
If they led classroom discussions before/after their classroom lecture.

6] What single characteristic of your own most influences/influenced your listening?
Definitely having an interest in the class at hand.

7] What single characteristic on your part helps/helped you listen and comprehend your listening?
I'm not sure... Can I pass on this question?

8] What single characteristic about the lecture or message most influences/influenced your listening?
If it was something I didn't know already.

I hope I was of some help to you!

1] For what main reason do you/did you listen to classroom lectures? i have a hard time paying attention to such things, so i want to get the most out of it so i won't be confused.

2]At what time of do you listen/did you listen best- morning, mid-morning, after lunch, end of day? end of day. in the morning i'm always tired and falling asleep.

3]What physical classroom characteristics influence/influenced your listening the most? small classrooms make it a lot easier. in large rooms, there's less attention focused on me and i'm much more likely to zone out.

4]Where do you sit/did you sit in the classroom if you want/wanted to learn the best? in the back, because i feel like there's less pressure on me. i'm more relaxed and able to concentrate.

5] What single characteristic of the instructor most influences/influenced your listening? being a little outgoing and making the lectures interesting.

6] What single characteristic of your own most influences/influenced your listening? being well-rested and not falling asleep or having any objects to fiddle with.

7] What single characteristic on your part helps/helped you listen and comprehend your listening? trying not to focus too hard.

8] What single characteristic about the lecture or message most influences/influenced your listening? making it brief and interesting.

made it as specific as i could.

1] I listen to classroom lectures, obviously, so I can keep up on the info in class. Listening helps me on tests given randomly by my teachers.

2] I listened best in the morning because by midday I was hungry, and at the end I wanted to go home.

3]Graphic posters and work of other students posted around helps.

4]In the very middle of the classroom I learned best.

5] Variety. If they talk about the same thing I just zone out.

6] My want of a good grade.

7] My mature personality that understands listening and doing well is more beneficial than having a good time.

8] Examples in life. For example, in physics we learned about how theme park rides and rollercoasters are based primarily on physics. This peaked my interest.

1] For what main reason do you/did you listen to classroom lectures?
I had to. Well, I didnt have to, but I wanted atleast decent grades and I hated being called on when I didnt know what was going on. I dont want to be stupid.

2]At what time of do you listen/did you listen best- morning, mid-morning, after lunch, end of day?
Depended on what class it was and who the teacher was, etc. Usually mid morning though.

3]What physical classroom characteristics influence/influenced your listening the most?
If the teacher had interesting stuff about the subject on the walls. I dunno. If it wasnt distracting, Id pay better close attention.

4]Where do you sit/did you sit in the classroom if you want/wanted to learn the best?
Front row.

5] What single characteristic of the instructor most influences/influenced your listening?
If the teacher was funny and knew how to have fun. I didnt like it when teachers were always WORK WORK WORK, I had more fun (and did better in) in the classes where the teacher would sometimes relax and wasnt so uptight.

6] What single characteristic of your own most influences/influenced your listening?
My attention span. If I was interested.

7] What single characteristic on your part helps/helped you listen and comprehend your listening?
The fact that I wanted to [sometimes, depending on my mood] strive to get the best grade.

8] What single characteristic about the lecture or message most influences/influenced your listening?
If it was interesting and kept me listening. If its boring and no fun I lose track and totally space out. Also, talking about it afterwards with Q&A's helped too.

1] For what main reason do you/did you listen to classroom lectures? To get good grades, actually, or if I'm interested in the topic I listen for myself

2]At what time of do you listen/did you listen best- morning, mid-morning, after lunch, end of day? Mid morning, I guess, I'm trying to think of the periods is easiest for me to pay attention in at I guess around 4-6 period so yeah

3]What physical classroom characteristics influence/influenced your listening the most? I'd say a lot of color, don't know why though

4]Where do you sit/did you sit in the classroom if you want/wanted to learn the best? In the front, for some reason you're just more worried about zoneing out

5] What single characteristic of the instructor most influences/influenced your listening? probably the tone of voice they say it in. If they just keep it monotone I get bored pretty easily

6] What single characteristic of your own most influences/influenced your listening? when everyone else around you looks like they're paying attention but you, and you feel like an idiot, so you do too

7] What single characteristic on your part helps/helped you listen and comprehend your listening? wanting to get better grades

8] What single characteristic about the lecture or message most influences/influenced your listening? Probably if it was something I could relate to, something I was interested in or often thought about I guess

Content - More likely to listen if it was....erm....something I actually give a rat's ass about

Well, I'm old, so here goes.

1] For what main reason do you/did you listen to classroom lectures?: To find out when things were due and what stuff might be on the test. And I didn't want to read the book.

2]At what time of do you listen/did you listen best- morning, mid-morning, after lunch, end of day?: Oh geez...is never an answer? lol. Probably mid-morning.

3]What physical classroom characteristics influence/influenced your listening the most?: Not too hot or cold...the room not being too small and having 45 people sitting on top of each other.

4]Where do you sit/did you sit in the classroom if you want/wanted to learn the best?: In the back

5] What single characteristic of the instructor most influences/influenced your listening?: A sense of humor

6] What single characteristic of your own most influences/influenced your listening?: How I felt physically. Like if I was tired, I'd never listen.

7] What single characteristic on your part helps/helped you listen and comprehend your listening?: not having to deal with annoying people in the classroom

8] What single characteristic about the lecture or message most influences/influenced your listening?: Whether or not I found the subject matter interesting.
