Need Advice For Business

I need some serious advice please regarding my business with my close friend/partner. We've been at this for quite some time now and it's not going very well. We've handed out flyers with business cards; have a sign in her car; advertised in the local newspaper and of course use the word of mouth method and yet we're still not getting any feedback.

We've also made phone calls; from the phone book (cold calls) and we've gotten some calls but only for information. We had one that was interested and we almost went to provide a service at the end of January but then she cancelled for personal reasons.

So far we're only providing services to friends, family, etc... but not to others out there and we're really getting discouraged.

Any tips and/or suggestions on how we can move things along better?
