Default Hello, first time....

Hello everybody, I just wanted to say that I love this forum....

I was wondering if anybody has ever found updates on cases that are not updated on broadcasts on Lifetime. I would think that they probably really don't care too much to update the show, so I was just curious.

I looked up the Jeremy Bright one, but he's still listed as a missing child, does anyone know where I can find more information on that case?

Have you checked the Doe Network site. His profile is there, so, unfortunately, he is still missing.

http://www.doenetwork.us/cases/38dmor.html

The Doe Network seems to be kept up to date to a good extent. When it is confirmed that any of their profiled missing persons has been discovered, they discard the profile. (Evidently, they have done just that with their Bobbi Parker profile, since they have acknowledge their awareness that Parker has been found, and is reunited with her family.) Therefore, if a missing person remains profiled on their site, it is extremely likely that the person in question is still missing.

Hope this helps.

By the way, if you're indicating that you are new to the forum, welcome aboard.

Yea, that's what I meant when it said he was still missing. I was just hoping maybe there were some new leads that weren't mentioned on the show. Thanks though

And yes, I am new, thanks for the welcome

Hi! Welcome to the board! Its always nice to have new members.

I think there are quite a few updates of cases that Lifetime doesn't bother to do. Some have been discussed on this forum. I do know that Devin Williams, the truck driver who left his semi in the middle of a national park and disappeared, remains were found a few years later but I don't think they could determine a cause of death.

Also Pat Carlton, the one who developed amnesia and eventually ran away, was recently found after being gone for, I think, over 30 years.

Also, Colleen Reed, the one that was abducted at the car wash. Lifetime did update that there had been an arrest, but didn't say (they might not have known when they filmed the update) that her body was eventually found. I believe Kenneth McDuff was executed for her murder as well as others.

Thats all I can think of for now.

He was executed, although it was actually for another murder for which he was convicted (namely, the 1992 abduction and murder of Melissa Ann Northup). Indeed, in 1994, McDuff was tried and convicted of killing Colleen Reed, even though her remains weren't found until 1998. McDuff's execution took place on November 17, 1998.

I think it is beyond amazing that Jeremy Bright's case has not been solved, considering that this happened in a small town and the number of witnesses that would have been present at either the party or the swimming hole. I could understand adolescents being intimidated by the local roughnecks and wanting to remain silent in 1986, but why not come forward years later?

This must have been a case of some real shoddy police work. Nobody can stay silent for that long in a small town.

I totally agree, Thinman. It really bothers me that a case such as this one has gone unsolved for so long. Someone has to know something. I hope that Lifetime keeps airing this story in the hope that it might produce some resolution. I must also say that it is one of the creepiest segments that I have ever seen. It ranks right up there with the Patricia Meehan case, where she took a "haunting self portrait" of herself in a mirror. I'd be interested to hear what others think about the Jeremy Bright case. The segment provided so many possible explanations that it's hard to know what to believe.
