I figure he might know when we can expect to see Season Two out on DVD.

There are no plans... he's not the one in charge of it anyway, the production company for the DVD's are. I'm guessing 1st season sales weren't that great.

But he could at least tell us if season two is in the pipleline. If he was asked to do a commentary for one or more of the episodes he would obviously be able to tell us that season two was in the pipeline.

I haven't heard when exactly S2 will be released, but I do know that they plan on releasing all seasons on DVD at some point. They even had DVD agreements on the music licensing contracts, (so there wouldn't be a music catastrophe on the DVD episodes like there were in Roswell, for example.)
