I feel bad for Fred Gwynne. He got all dressed up in costume, just to take 3 or 4 photos. At least if they were filming, I could understand.

I think this was the prototype of the model kit. (Note: there isn't any curtains in the car. The AMT kit had windows and also a decal for the back doors. It also came with a door crest decal.) Of course, I could be wrong.

(Not very good for colorizing. Not enough contrast. I colorize, then remove some of the contrast, but when it's not there, it's hard to add without making it look funny. Oh, well...)

I think they actually took many, many photos, it's just that we typically don't get to see all of them (unfortunately). It also seems that for whatever reasons, certain episodes have a lot of photos floating around from them (Pike's Pique, John Doe Munster, My Fair Munster). I think PP and MFM can be explained because they were such early episodes (the production number for PP makes it seem like perhaps it was filmed second, people have mentioned), but I don't know about John Doe Munster.
