Just one... This ain't a thread for y'all to list all the musicians you know, 'cause quite frankly, that'ds be boring.

You name one person and tell us why..

For me, I gotta say Paul McCartney.

Probably ever since I was around 8 or 9. I thought about it & his name was the 1st one that came to mind right away. The guy's a great bassist & has long proven his songwriting abilities. Not that many rock artists have had such a broad appeal for so long. As you've all read countless times before, his music appeals to everyone from 6 year olds to grandmas.

Not saying he's the best bass player (though he's pretty damn good in his own right). Not saying he's got rock's best vocals- though in his prime he was also damn good.

Just an all-round great musician.

Amy Lee because, she is one of the few singers who can,well,sing. JUST LISTEN TO HER,DUDE!!!! Her voice is sooooooooooo beautiful!!!!

And she flat out beautiful!

Picking just one is very hard,but I'll have to go with Whitney Houston
She just blows me away with that beautiful voice.

It's hard to pick just one. Though, I think Buddy Holly was a great musician of the 1950s, I'll have to say my fave musician is Paul McCartney. Great songwriter, great bass guitar player, great piano player. Probably the best musician of his time. Not many singer-songwriters have a career in music spanning over forty years.
