Hey folks,

I'm new to this, so please excuse me if someone has already asked or answered this question.

I'm looking to buy the dvds soon and was wondering if the sites that offer all 6 seasons are actually authentic. In other words, I've only heard that the first season has been released to dvd so far. So, I'm a bit concerned that if I buy one of these "box sets", that it will just be some crappy recording pasted on a dvd.

Any thoughts?

They aren't authentic. I have not heard anything about the quality of their DVDs, but unless it is recorded on a Digital video recorder then the quality isn't as good as the official and it's no better than tape trading. you also most likely will be getting the edited versions from syndication. most of these site come and go and move from one place to another all over the net.

What Dr. Phillips said. If you want authentic, official Fresh Prince on dvd, you're right, only the first season has been released so far. Anything else is someone else's recording, not anything officially released by Warner Bros and very likely a "crappy recording pasted on a dvd."
