Default N@N's "Hello Again" promos

does anybody else feel that using The Cars' "Hello Again" with 80's effects is inappropriate considering Nick is trying to escape the 80's as fast as they can and get into the 90's? Hello Again is a VERY 80's song, and when you'd hear a tv promo playing a song like that, you'd be expecting clips of shows like Family Ties, The Facts Of Life and Gimme A Break, NOT Fresh Prince Of Bel Air, Murphy Brown and Roseanne.

I know the song is being used to being "see all your old faves again", but the music and the graphics Nick used are so unapologetically 1980's that using it for shows predominantly after 1990 would be like playing a disco song and showing clips of shows after 1985.

well, when Murphy and Roseanne premiered, "new wave" music was pretty much over by then anyways and they both had the lion's share of their run in the 1990's, it'd be like linking FOL with the 1970's because it started in 1979, and TCS is the ONLY authentic 80's show in the promos... Nick didn't even promote Who's The Boss, which unlike most of the shows Nick's promoting, actually belongs in an 80's flavored commercial

yes, but the show didn't get popular until around 1990. The whole TGIF thing didn't really take off until then.

I like the song, but agree that its the wrong time period.
However, the commercial seems to be put together very well.

1987 is the late 80s.

I also feel that the "Feels Like The First Time" promo with the Foreigner song of the same name is inappropriate. I hate seeing that song played with images of Full House.

I didn't even know that song, I just thought it sounded good! But if Nick at Nite is airing shows from the 90s, then the network should create a promo with more elements from the 90s. The promo makes it seem like those shows are older than they really are.
