Guys,
All three of the Mr. Collins episodes are among the best of the series. The actor played him so brilliantly, it was like watching a documentary with the scenes in his classroom. The third episode where he died of heart failure moved me to tears! I even remember having trouble sleeping that night because it was SO POWERFUL! Jack |

Same here!
Also liked (for a different reason obviously) Ben Stein's take as the Science Teacher. Reminded me to a T of a history teacher I once had! |

Jack, the "Goodbye" episode that you write about is my favorite of the series, and that's saying a lot. The scene at the end where Kevin hands in his exam and says, "You don't have to grade it....it's an A" is simply classic. Back in the first episode of the Mr. Collins trilogy, Kevin said the exact same thing, except he said, "It's an F".

And I love the way they show (almost like a dream sequence) Mr. Collins sitting at his desk with the sun streaming through the windows behind him giving that "heavenly" feel. Really well done. I cried too!
And yeah, Mr. Cutlip! I swear everyone had a gym teacher that was like him at some point! I know I had one in grade 8 just like him! |

I liked the chararcter of Mr. Cutlip, but I wouldn't have wanted him as a teacher. His "Free at last!" speech is so memorable.
