Some people may find the Pilots confusing, because there are so many.

I hope this little guide helps...

Presentation #1 (also referred to as "Color Pilot" or "First Pilot)
This Pilot was made in April of 1964. It was filmed in color, it has no closing theme, and runs appox. 15 minutes. The only complete version of this Pilot, in is the Season 1 DVD from Universal.

Fred Gwynne..........Herman Munster
Joan Marshall..........Pheobe Munster
Al Lewis.................Grandpa
Beverley Owen........Marilyn
Happy Derman........Eddie Munster

Presentation #2 (also referred to as "Second Pilot")
Created in 1964, this Pilot, is actually Presentation #1 copied onto Black & White film. It has a closing theme and a few scenes added to it, missing from Presentation #1.

Beverley Owen........Marilyn
Happy Derman........Eddie Munster

Pilot (this is the only "Pilot", that can not be called a "Presentation")
Filmed in 1964, this Pilot was so funny, it provoked CBS to buy the series. The first 2 Pilots were so dull, CBS didn't even consider the series, until this Pilot came along. In this Pilot, Eddie has no widows peak.

This Pilot is actually Episode 2, except the scenes with Eddie had to be reshot for the TV version, because Eddie had no widows peak in the Pilot.

Thanks M# 1 that helps a lot. I was getting very confused with all the seemingly endless pilot episodes.

I'll admit it's difficult. Took me a while to collect all the info and understand these darn pilots.

"Our cup runneth over in pilots".
