Remembering Freddie

In this time of sadness of Pope John Paul's passing. As a non Catholic I still respected his way of leadership and prayers among all of those who followed him and admired him. Pope John Paul has been and will be a remarkable servant of God that will stand for years and decades to come. As a Christian I respected him for his outspoken love and respect for the Church. I have been downloading songs most of the day, as a result, it has given me a peace of mind on what impact Pope John Paul has given us. I smile at times when Freddie appears on my mind as I listen to these songs and thank God that these two individuals were here on this earth. Freddie as we all know has given us joy that no one can take away from us. As we continue to love, admire and respect Freddie. I share in the love and admiration of a dedicated servant of the Lord Pope John Paul.

Very well put. I am not Catholic but from what I read he seemed to be a good Pope. May God be with his family at this time. I heard on the radio yesterday Pat Robertson talking very nicely about the Pope...

How can I express myself?
There was a time I was a praticing Catholic. I had advantages and privleges few people had. I had the privilige to see Mother Theresa up close. I've met the Cardinal and many Bishops from the Arch Diocese. I went to mass at St Patrick's Cathedral so, so many times. And then there was the Pope... This morning I had tears in my eyes just seeing him laying at the Vatican. I remember when he came to NYC. The company I worked for at the time gave us employees a break and told us to go outside and stand with the multitudes to wave at him. When I saw him go by in the (Pope mobile) he seemed so sweet, cute, almost like a saint. He came to NY more than one time to wave at the multitudes and to do his important tasks but he was so sweet. When I see him kissing the children on the head and being so good... tears just roll down my eyes. He has a special place inside of me just like Freddie does. |

Being a practicing Catholic and a Catholic school teacher, I can honestly say this pope will be missed. We are praying right now for the Cardinals who will be in conclave next week to vote on a new pope. We hope he is a real leader for our church like our last one was, especially with the young people of our church. I think if Freddie had felt the warmth this pope extended to young people, he might have felt a little differently about organized religion. It is a rare spirit who thinks so much of the youth of the church.

I am catholic and went to catholic school for 12 years.....when i was kid they always made the pope out to be this larger than life superhero and it was cool....i thought he was a very good man and although i didnt agree with all his views i did respect him...i only wish he took a tougher stand on the whole scandal that happened here in america with the priests....other than that he was a great pope
LMAO i have been glued in on POPE TV since last Thursday.....ever since they announced he was sick again last week i have been watching the coverage and listening to the stories.......i have the pope channel..... this is something to see and watch unfold because during 12 years of catholic school beginning in the early 80's and ending in the 90's we always learned about what happens when a pope dies and what takes place....so this interesting to me because it is everything i only got to read in books for class...now i get to see and i can appreciate it more ..... |
