Life & Style and Pat Croce Get Canceled
March 29, 2005 By Marc Berman Sony Pictures Television has canceled low-rated freshman strips Life & Style and Pat Croce: Moving In. Season to-date, and based on 15 talk shows, Pat Croce is tied at No. 12 with a 0.9 household rating, while Life & Style is dead last at a mere 0.5, according to Nielsen Media Research. A combination of original and repeat telecasts is expected to air for both series through September. Elsewhere, although Warner Bros. has remained silent on the status of The Larry Elder Show, which is also not expected back, three other talkers -- NBC Universal’s The Jane Pauley Show and Home Delivery, and Twentieth Television’s veteran Good Day Live -- have also officially received their walking papers. No word, meanwhile, on the status of Sony’s planned Robin Quivers Show. In more positive syndication news, NBC Universal has renewed growing daytime strip Starting Over for a third season, with clearances to-date for 2005-06 in more than 92 percent of the country. Starting Over, which will open season three poised for more growth with approximately 35 local market upgrades, has been sold on stations from a number of broadcast groups including NBC, Hearst-Argyle, Gannett, CBS/Viacom, Tribune, Belo, Media General, Raycom, Nexstar, Sinclair, LIN, Meredith, Clear Channel and Gray. Also, Twentieth Television’s remake of A Current Affair, currently airing on the Fox owned-and-operated stations, has been cleared on WTVH/Syracuse, WFRV/Green Bay, KOB/Albuquerque and KFRE/Fresno for a fall launch. And yesterday marked the debut of A Current Affair on KUSI/San Diego. |

![]() THIS IS NO Surprise. Did you know Miss Golden, the two shows that were just cancelled, Life & Style and Pat Croce: Moving In, they were the replacements last year of Donny Osmond's PYRAMID which was cancelled despite having a 2.0 rating and also have been nominated for best game show host in the business of dwindling game show genre. I'm happy that the two are gone! Here's more proof to get you convinced. from tvgameshows.net The shoe has dropped on another one: Pat Croce Movin' In, which---withLife and Style---was chosen by Sony as a better demo draw than Pyramid---is gone. Croce's half-hour bombed with an 0.7 average and Life and Style was canceled earlier this week with its dynamic 0.6 average. One year ago, Pyramid was tossed out of production with a 2.0. Tell you anything?....
