I'm watching UM and they had a story about a woman who got attacked in her home. The guy robbed her but after awhile everything stolen got returned. Also, the guy left notes and things in front there house. No updates. Anyone got names?

That is probably the Whacker case. Do a search on this forum for Whacker or wacker, I am not sure how to spell it.

I don't know what that case is, but it's definitely not the Whacker case.

SON OF A B#$%H!!! I always miss that episode, and I'm seriously dying to see it. Is it really as good a segment as everyone says it is?

Yes it is. I think it ranks right up there with the Cindy James stalking story. What is different about this case though, is that there is a composite sketch of an individual who attacked Dorothy Wacker in her kitchen.

Some people have speculated that maybe the husband had something to do with it. I just dont buy it. Maybe another family member or neighbor could be responsible, but that still doesn't explain the man that attacked Dorothy the first time. Either way, a creepy episode.

Default on the whackers

I definitely think the husband is behind it all. Why else would all their so called stolen stuff reappear? I think he had that guy come in and attack his wife, and all the stuff he had taken, he later realized he wanted it, so he had it returned. Most people would have moved out if that happened to their wife.

It just doesnt make sense. Why after 40 plus years being married, would he decide to start something now? I agree anything is possible, otherwise we wouldnt be watching Unsolved Mysteries But seriously, what motive would he have? From watching the episode, it didn't seem like the Wackers had any marital problems. If they had problems in their past, I would think the show would've aired them. After all, they talked to the Wacker's children.

But who knows?

Default attention

I do not think he had anything against his wife. I simply think he wanted "kicks", as he said about the perpetrators on the segment.

Lol, I always miss the episodes I want to see, usually for something stupid. Yes it is a good segment. They don't live far from me so that makes it even more interesting.

Default Wacker Family on Unsolved Mysteries

I notice all the posts on this episode are for earlier this year. I saw the show again today and it's one of the ones that has always bugged me!! Does anyone have any information on it now? Does anyone remember where it happened--didn't catch that part on the show today because I was busy at the time. This one has always made me curious about what was going on because it was so bizarre and there never seemed to be an update on the show or a reason for what happened! Was it the husband going through an old age crisis or someone really having it in for them? PLEASE--Somebody help my curiousity!!

Yes I am anxious to know whatever happened to the case also. I'm not sure if Bill and Dorothy are even still alive. It did happen in Stark County, Ohio, I believe that is around Canton but I don't think they ever said which town specifically. I even emailed the Stark Co. Sheriff's Dept. months ago just to see if there had been any arrests in the case, but never got a reply. Maybe one day someone will post here from that area that has heard something.

After 40 years of marriage he decides he wants "kicks" by clubbing his wife in the head and tying her up???
LMAO!
Sorry, that made me laugh.

I really disliked the actress they got to play Dorothy --- she looked like some mean German school marm. The real Dorothy looked much sweeter, which made the attacks seem even worse (if that's possible).

I'm amazed that after all those attacks and years they just have that one composite sketch to go by. The offender hit both day and night. I think he would've had to known the wackers' neighbors routine to not get spotted. None of the neighbors never seeing anything is unbelievable.

That's really what baffles me about it.
