Default Why does UPN Make

us wait so long for new episodes?

they just showed a new episode the other night and now i checked the listings and i believe the next 2 weeks will be repeats again.....

It's not UPN, it's TV period. Look what happened w/Desperate Housewives. It had its first new show in weeks, and was preempted twice (Oscars/Oprah Movie).

here's why. sweeps season just ended (feb)...so now we will see a lot of reruns and maybe 1 or 2 new episodes until may (sweeps again)--and season finalies time.

TV is a business. Money reins supreme.

true but it just seems like extreme when it comes to girlfriends because you have to wait so long for new episodes...

I don't know which is better, to air the 22 or so episodes of a season more or less uninterrupted the way tv did in the 60s and 70s and then air the reruns from like April to Sept or the way it is now, where the 22 episodes have to be stretched out from Sep to May. This is one reason I tend to prefer watching some of these shows in offnetwork syndication.

the next new episode is on April 25th
