Default 30 March 2005 "It's My Life" [SPOILERS]

Wow.

So much to take in. The ending, the commercial, JJ's plot, Beth's plot, almost too much to remember. But before I get into that, I have to ask, what was Pete doing in that cast?

I think the commercial was heartbreaking, because Meg knew and we knew that she was planning on leaving. I should have expected the family to gather round an watch it after she left but for some reason I did not see it coming - and it was a nice moment.

JJ met his hero and helped put a man on the moon. And it was a nice touch to not have him step in and save the day. He volunteered and then realized he needed help. That was good, he is only human.

Really, it all comes down to Meg and Jack, in Meg's bedroom, that last conversation. That is what made the episode. And Patty, poor eavesdropping Patty, having to tell her father that. And Jack, not wanting to believe that his daughter would be stupid enough to leave.

But she was.

I am in awe!! I can't believe she left!!!!

You are right...it is a LOT to take in...I'm just overwhelmed by everything that happened!!

I still can't believe she went with him!!!!!

Anyone else bawl like a baby during the episode?? I was bawling!! I had my tissues ready and everything, because I knew I would be crying, but I never knew I would cry that much!!! That scene between Jack and Meg was so touching! And then with Roxanne and Meg....at that point, I had already lost it.

This show HAS to come back next season! It just has to!! There is so much to be resolved, so much more to be told!!

Unless I somehow missed something, there was no reason given last week. Pete was up and about throughout the episode and at the hospital.

I think the actor who plays Uncle Pete (Matt Armstrong is his name, I think) must have broken his leg in real life. They definitely didn't show him getting hurt last week.

The finale sure was great, wasn't it? Roxanne brought me to tears in the final moments. Vanessa Lengies won't have to worry about finding work for long if the show does get cancelled. I was choked up quite a bit through out, but I lost it when Roxanne told Meg she didn't have to leave. I really did think Meg was going to change her mind last minute. If only...

I thought all of the acting and writing was spot on last night. I was a little disapointed that Beth has to put off college and would have liked to have seen more, but with all that was happening, that was an impossibility.

I give Jack credit for letting Meg make her own decision, but I think he'll live to regret telling her not come back. It was an amazing episode. I just hope we'll be seeing more. I'm not ready to say goodbye to the Pryors just yet.

I thought it was a very well done episode. I knew that Meg would be leaving with Chris, but I was hoping Roxanne would have been able to change her mind.

And, Meg's commercial was good too. I want this show to come back! It has to.

Another amazing episode. I love that every episode isn't one neat, tidy package. You know what? In 1966, Beth would have put off college because of JJ's objections. That's realistic. And I believe an 18-year-old girl who's in love would follow her heart instead of her head.

Such a great show. Too bad more people didn't get it.

Last night was fabulous!! And I too am not ready to say goodbye to the Pryors or the Walkers just yet! There are so many more stories to tell and so many more questions left unanswered!

Oh I definitely got it, in fact, I was glad the show did it. Many writers would have made the characters make decisions based on what we know now in the 21st century, making the show a little unrealistic. As disapointing as it was for Beth to put off college, it happened and is still happening today. Like I said, a disapointment, yet brilliant at the same time.

As for Meg, yes, I believe most 18 year olds would do the exact same thing. Just another great aspect of an amazing show. The next season can't come soon enough.
