Does anyone know the ethinc backrounds of the cast? I believe Fred Gwynne is German, Yvonne De Carlo is French-Canadian, and Al Lewis is Polish and Jewish.

FG is Irish . That's what his daughter said on the A&E bio of him.
With the last name of 'Patrick', I'm guessing Butch is Irish too.
The two Marilyns look sooooooooooooooo Nordic! Even if their hair is bleached.

Don't forget, after Herman left Dr. Frankenstein's lab in Germany, Herman moved to England and was adopted by a family named "Munster", which gave him a last name.
