Anyone have any made-up expressions?
Sometimes when I'm frustrated, or if something goes wrong, I'll say "Sweet Jane!" or "Sweet Melinda!" The former is a Velvet Underground song, the latter is a lyric from Bob Dylan's "Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues." On the morbid side, when someone dies, I tend to say, rather than "He kicked the bucket" or "He bought the farm," "He received the weaver's answer." That's because in Family's song "The Weaver's Answer," the song's protagonist is an old man who asks the "weaver of life" to show him his life as a tapestry. When he receives a positive answer from the weaver (who reperesents the Lord), he realizes why he's getting to see his tapestry - because he's about to die! I also say things like, "Osama bin Laden wishes the weaver's answer on America." |

Well, with the potty mouth that I have, instead of saying "For God's sake" or "For Heaven's sake" when I get frustrated, I'v been saying "For f***'s sake". I don't know why. I never heard anybody else use that expression.

I've never made it up but sometimes when I get really frustrated I say, "Jesus tapdancing Christ." I've even had a dream where I kept saying that to someone.

There's an expression I made up for myself when something sounds interesting:
There's a screenplay in there somewhere.

My favorite saying between my roomate and I is "Really?"
We use that alot when we are are out. It fits in very well in any circumstance. |

I tend to say 'for the love of God and all things Clayton' a lot. I also say 'for the love of God and William H. Macy'. Yah I dunno where that guy comes in. I heard his name once and ugh.. just stuck.
