Default Could we please....

Put all news stories on the new board,Current Events/Politics board? I think that would be a better place for them, than on the Chit Chat board.

I did move most of the news stories to the current events forum. I agree that Chit Chat should be reserved for just chatting about what's going on in our lives and such.

It's great that members can post the latest news (legitimate) and bizarre stories at times in the Chit Chat Forums. Thanks, Janice!

I do also enjoy an offbeat story now and then!

Just curious: Can religious topics be discussed as well as long as emotions don't get in the way?

Good question. I think that within reason, religious threads will be fine. It is current events. We shouldn't encounter any of the problems the Current Events/Politics board as we did before. There are five moderators, including TJ.

Also, members are automatically suspended if they don't comply with the no personal attacks rule. Members can't go in looking for trouble. Those days are definitely over.

Oh yeah...Gotta question about the suspension thing...How long are members suspended if they break the rules? A week or somethin'?

For you, three months. Everyone else, three days. Kidding Allison. You know I adore you.

I guess it would depend on the nature of the violation. It probably starts at a day or something, and goes higher with repeated offenses. That has to be worked out among the moderators and TJ, I guess. All sort of new now.

I've been gone for the last few days and was shocked the politics board was back. I guess you can miss a lot when you're away for awhile.

Your avatar is great. My husband loves Deadwood. That main character is one mean SOB. The actor who plays him does a great job.

Thanks Janice. I put it as my profile picture now. I just started to watch it this year and its a great show. I remember Ian McShane from Dallas and thought he was a terrible actor but I was wrong. He is great in this show. The whole cast is great. It would be great if this singled a return to form of the western.
