I had to go along with Archie about not wanting a prisoner doing plumbing work in their kitchen. Edith thinks it was ok and did't see anything wrong with it. Damm she was a GOOF. It would be no way I would hav someone who is still in jail working in my house-lol I dont know how Archie put up with her

I agree with you and Archie. Maybe I'm being closed minded, but I wouldn't want a prisoner in my house either.

To me it all depends on what they were in prison for. As long as it wasn't for rape, murder, or something (which it wouldn't be - they don't let those kinds of prisoners out on work release jobs) I would be willing to give them a chance. And besides, on the show he DID turn out to be a good person. We all make mistakes.
Afterall, how is a prisoner supposed to be rehabilitated unless people show faith in them? |

No, they arent all super bad.
I would still be a bit apprehensive if I was in that situation, but not as radical as Archie. |

I remember this episode... I think he put up wth her Solomon cause he knew it wasnt real and I think he was thankful for that..
All in the family thankfully came out BEFORE ANY PC CRAP and it was allowed to be what it was... Its sad newer stuff wasnt allowed to be AS IT WAS as the quality suffered.. But I agree with the OP,I dont know if letting someone bad work on your pipes is a good idea.. You dont know what they might do! |
