I don't hate it, I just dislike it sometimes. Like who cares if Britney Spears might be pregnant? I mean, I don't know her, so why would I care? I mean I like alot of actors and actresses but some people just care way too much about them.

Waht do I hate about Hollywood? Bad movies, movies based on TV shows, movies based on cartoon characters, sequels, remakes, and remakes of French movies (which always suck!).

Its superficial and too much importance is placed on the things that shouldnt be important.Plus is the only place where immorality appears to be acceptable.

"Hollywood" is a state of mind. It is a lifestyle. It really has very little to do with Hollywood, the location, anymore. "Hollywood" can be in Los Angeles or London; New York or Moscow. It can be anywhere.

"Hollywood" exists wherever there are celebrities, be they movie, TV, or musical personalities; politicians, writers, or Paris Hilton types. They can have talent; many do not.

The commonality of them all is popularity; they are known to large segments of the population.

What do I hate about it? The pretentiousness. The self-importance. The privilege, which is frequently overexercised.

Cool

I guess because I'm finishing my screenplay for my scriptwriting course, I really feel that I may one day contribute something positive to Hollywood. I get excited writing it, but sometimes it can be a challenge.

Actually, Ashton was on SNL last week and was really funny. In his opening monolog, Demi was in the audience made up to look like she was about 80. She went onstage with him, and their banter was hilarious.

He was better than I expected.

I liked his "Federline Yo!" sketch.

Oh and my two words would be Paris and Hilton

In his indispensable book BAD Or, The Dumbing of America, Paul Fussell wrote, "Show business is so dependent on illusion, inflation, and fraud that everything connected with is [pretentious and showy]. Indeed, its main techniques of publicity, misrepresentation, and hyperbole (e.g., "The Greatest Show On Earth") supply a model for [showiness] everywhere else. The Duke and Dauphin [from Huckleberry Finn are quite in the American grain."

Queen Latifah is the latest entertainer to prove this point!
