What a move by Nick Networks to go *backward* in time for a new show. With so much Fresh Pi** and Full nutHouse and Roseham clogging the schedule, I was stunned they'd step back to 1984 for Night Court.

I don't trust Warner Bros to put out all nine seasons so this will be a good taping oppurtunity.

Roseanne, Full House, and Fresh Prince (Along with Murphy Brown, Who's The Boss and The Cosby Show) are all on Nick @ Nite so adding Night Court to TV Land Would Not Be a Move Backward Since all shows on TV Land started in or before 1982 besides their original Programming so Roseanne, Full House, and Fresh Prince in Your Words will Still be Clogging up the Nick @ Nite Schedule.

Awsome! I know S1 of Night Court is coming out/just came out on DVD. Since I like the Markie Post years, I didn't buy it, but it made me itching to watch some episodes. So glad they are putting it on TV Land.

LAUNCHES WITH 48-HOUR MARATHON BEGINNING AUGUST 13TH

New York, NY, July 25, 2005 – Order in the court! TV Land pleads guilty as charged as the network launches the hilarious comedy Night Court with a 48-hour marathon beginning Saturday, August 13 at 6 a.m. (ET/PT). Starring Harry Anderson as Judge Harold T. Stone, this sitcom made its mark on television as one of the most memorable slapstick comedies of its era. Night Court will air in its regularly scheduled timeslot of 11:30 P.M. every night beginning Monday, August 15.

“Night Court’s unconventional style and unforgettable courtroom antics will forever be imitated, but never duplicated,” states Larry W. Jones, President, TV Land and Nick at Nite. “Its memorable cast of characters was a remarkable assembly of talent.”

A staple in NBC’s “Must-See TV” line-up of the ’80s, the series premiered on January 4, 1984. The show centers around a Manhattan Criminal Court, presided over by Judge Harold T. Stone, (Harry Anderson) a very unique magistrate with an unorthodox style. Unlike other judges, Harry’s motley crew of clerks, District Attorneys, magic tricks and bad jokes tend to follow him to the bench. He is joined by Dan Fielding (John Larroquette), the prosecuting attorney with an amazing conviction record and a sex life to match; Bull Shannon (Richard Moll), the 6' 8”, bald bailiff whose bark was worse than his bite, but not by much, Mac Robinson (Charles Robinson), the sensible court clerk and Selma Hacker (Selma Diamond), the short, elderly, raspy-voiced bailiff with a dry sense of humor. After the passing of Selma Diamond in real life, the show added the character of Roz Russell (Marsha Warfield) as the manipulative bailiff who never hesitated to express her opinion and public defendant Christine Sullivan (Markie Post) as Harry’s on-again, off-again love interest.

Yeah, high praise from the programming director. Let's just hope he remembers it instead of giving a quick hook if the ratings suck. I remember the much hyped Wings debut, only for it to last about 3 weeks at 10 o' clock before being buried at 3:30 am, then taken off all together!
