Default How do you get over someone?

Has anyone here been in love with someone who they had to get over, but couldn't? How do you get over someone you like, but they dont like you back? It sucks to be in love with someone who doesn't have the same feeling for you.Can anyone sympathise here?

Absolutely. I still have feelings for my last boyfriend. I think about him often. All other guys have come and gone and I got over them fine, but this one, I can't seem to 'shake', and it's been over a year. I've only dated one other guy since we broke up thinking that this guy would help me get over him, but no. So I guess I'll just have to live with it.

IDK, but it's happened to me before
It's really hard to love someone if they don't even like you back. Unless if it's someone on TV obviously.

Good question. I'm still trying to get over my ex-girlfriend who I've been broken up with since the summer... I just can't get her out of my life. I see her at school, I think about her so much, my God, she's even in my dreams. I can't even listen to "She Will Be Loved" anymore because that was our song... I hate love.

Just be miserable until you're over them, which, if you like them enough can take years. Whatever, no one said life was fair!

I've gotten over everyone in time. And it's hard to keep liking someone if you never see them.

I've gotten all my useful getting over someone tips from Sex and the City . lol anyway this isn't true but they say it takes half as long as you and the person went out to get over them. It's not true. Really the onlyl thing that helps is time.

Oh, I never get over them. Well, I got over my HS crush by turning the "love" I felt for him into bitter hatred.

Other than that, I just let it eat at me until I go nuts.

I think the best way to get over someone is to take it day by day.

It sucks, but theres not alot you can do except look for the person's bad points and flaws, rather than focusing on the things you like about them. Then there's that whole turn your love into anger-anger at them for not giving you the time of day.But trust me,you do get over people.I'm really strange,I go crazy over people, and then there comes a time when I genuinely cant stand them anymore. Its like I talk about the person so much that I make myself sick of them! So you DO get over people, even if it seems like you never will.I liked a guy for 8 years once, and out of that 8 years we were friends for 5.Now I cant stand him.

The best way to get over someone is to get under someone else.

Seriously, time's your friend and healer on this one. I know it's difficult. Been there.

put their picture on a dartboard, set of bowling pins or just a tackling dummy and take out your agressions on that.

...or just go for the full lobotomy
