I'd say that Betty White's best roles are Rose and Sue-Ann from MTM. She is just so funny. The only role that I didn't like Betty White in was Joyce Whitman on the Betty White Show. Egh!

I like Rose too. She's my second favorite character on the Golden Girls. She is so funny and such a sweetheart. She reminds me of Chrissy from Three's Company.

Let's hear it for Rose!

-------------------------------------
Rose: ...Oh I think it's romantic. So tall, handsome so strong....and now she's(Dorothy) got a man.
-------------------------------------
Rose: If you ask me Blanche, I think your uncle is lonely. Desparate, pathetic and lonely.

Dorothy: Right.
Rose: Hey Dorothy, you two just might hit it off.

Cool

Rose Rules! She is so funny and has a soft heart. She loved animals and loved to care for them, even though Blanche didn't want "dirty beasts" in her house. Rose is an airhead, but she's good at it and pretty damn funny. I wished she married Miles cause they made a cute couple.

I agree with you, Precious. Did you knwo that the writers originally wanted Rue McClanahan to play Rose, and for Betty to be Blanche? that wouldn't have worked! They were both perfect for their roles!

Yeah, I heard that on one of the Golden Girls Website. Betty White changed her mind about playing Blanche because she played a slutty character on Mary Tyler Moore. I think Rue played an airhead character on either Mama's Family or Maude. Yes, I'm glad Betty White played Rose and Rue McClanahan played Blanche. That was perfect. Betty White wouldn't be good as Blanche. Rue made a good Blance and I can't possibly picture her as Rose!
