Default Moonlighting and Boston Legal fans

We have a new interview posted with Moonlighting post production supervisor, editor and associate producer Phil Neel.

Phil is now an editor on the hit ABC series Boston Legal so if you are a fan of that show too, you will want to check it out.

Thanks Diana. That was interesteing. I can definately see similarities between Moonlighting and Ally McBeal. A similar type of comedy, use of bizzare dream sequences etc.

Love Gem

You are welcome Gem. I didn't catch that many episodes of Ally but from what I have read, it really was influenced by Moonlighting. Moonlighting was truly an original!

I really loved this interview. I read every word and was engrossed. This was all about the work behind Moonlighting and for me that is thrilling.
I was a bit turned off Moonlighting because of the focus on the actors private lives, (love the characters they play though), but this put me back into the creativity of Moonlighting.
Thank you.

i'm very excited about your article and your site articles. this is just what the 'moonlighting social club' is all about.
your article has been passed around to the 'moonlighting social club committee' (which is about 30 people who have seen Every Single Episode, either originally or at a more recent run, all ages, and who are passionate about the show) and it was decided that the articles on your site will be used as a reference for our-what we call "getting it" discussions on moonlighting. how several hundred people can work on a show and make it somehow seem intimate.
the 'moonlighting social club' is now well over 200 people and the foundations of it is about excellence in entertainment. that's our bond.
on a personal note, you wrote so well, that i actually 'saw' myself drive to the studio and go to the set and listen to the interview. i've been to studios and sets many times, but people on the 'moonlighting committee' who haven't were able to 'see' themselves in your article too.
as the moonlighting receptionist would say 'Great, Great!'
and as i would say Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. i love this sort of perspective.

Hi Marla,

The staff of Moonlighting Strangers thanks you and the Moonlighting Social Club committee for choosing our articles as a reference to your discussions.

One of the reasons why Moonlighting Strangers exists is because we wanted to remind people what a great, well acted, written and directed series Moonlighting was was.

The show was a huge phenomenon in its day and it was written about incessantly. It was even more popular than Desperate Housewives is today.
Most of us on the staff are original viewers and the fanzine is a great vehicle for us to express our love for the show and bring to readers insight by the creative talents behind the scenes.

In our interviews, we strive to report from the fan's point of view and I am happy to hear that we have succeeded.

I look forward to hearing from you and Cheryl80 and to learn more about the Moonlighting Social Club.

Till then.

Diana
