Default Lorna Luft.. The daughter of judy Garland. A bio

Judy Garland as best known as Dorathy from The Wizard Of Oz.She was caught in a tornado and drifted towards Oz,the house landed in some small people place, and you know the rest of the story. Judy Garland Daughters Liza Minnelie and Loran Luft who is the half sister of Liza, also a brother to Lorna Joey .Lorena Luft was born in 1954 she fallowed in the footsteps of Liza and Judy, Joey LuftShe did some singing in the 60's,she did some playsShe lived with her monther, but by the time she was 12 Judys drug problem was getting worst, but Lorena stuck with her she did love her monter very much, but when Judy was on drugs she was a monster, so Loran and Joey moved back with there father, but months later Judy Garland died of a overdose.Lorna was heartbroken, she thought if she would have been there she wouold have saved her.
Lorna grew up,she still talked to Liza for a while, she did plays "Promises,Promises" and Snoopy. She had not starred in many films but the ones she did was "Grease 2 the disastrouse movie to the film verson "Grease" and in 1984 "Where The Boys Are 84" a remake from the 1960's movie in the 84 verson also starred Lisa Hartman, It's a beach movie. She also did a small apprence in "Studio 54" and "My Gaint".She also apprienced in "cocain",but now is drug free. She lives with her 3 children and 2 husband in California. She will do a minie-series from her book in 2006,she will be an excutive producer .She has come a long way for being the daughter of the famous mom Judy Garland and half sister to Liza.

Sorry, but in my opinion Lorna Luft is one of the most annoying celebrity wannabes. She really has little to no talent at all - especially when you compare her to Judy and Liza. Judy's claim to fame - an Academy Award winning actress for The Wizard of Oz, Liza's claim to fame - an Academy Award for Cabaret, Lorna's claim to fame - um - Grease 2? And she wasn't even a star in that flop - she played the dumb blonde bimbo (type casting).

I read her autobiography. Before I did I thought she was just the quieter of the family. Afterwards I realized just how mean spirited and jealous she is towards her older sister. She writes shamelessly about Liza's drug problems in the seventies, and not in a "my poor mixed up sister has the same problem Momma did" tone, but more in the "my stupid sister is all screwed up and I'm perfect" one. To top it all off, she did not go to her sister's wedding, she was busy performing in London. Her show is called "Songs My Mother Taught Me." Honey, your mother died before you were out of highschool. You didn't get her voice or her acting ability. Like it or not, Liza did. But out of Judy Garland's three children, I give the most credit to Joey Luft. He's the one with the brains to stay out of show business and live his own life.

I agree with you about her acting abilty, I just read her short bio, She did an awful job on Grease 2, Where The Boys ARe she did just fair, it was a cheesy movie like I said Lisa Hartman and the other two girls in Where The Boys Are, did a little bit better.Just because she is the daughter of Judy, does not mean that she can sing or act.

I have her book "Life with Judy Garland: Me and my Shadows" which was made into an ABC movie a couple years ago. It's really good. I have the DVD to that too.

I've read that book and I own the movie. The book was alright - at least the first part, where it was about her mother. The second part was just whining, in my opinion, about her divorce, her problems, and her lack of a career. The miniseries was wonderful because it focused on the real star of the family, Judy.
