I was wondering if anyone here has ever dialed a 1-900 number before.
my cousin dialed one of those that they advertise frequently on USA network during late hours on weekends,Anyways he was so stupid. He thought that 1-900 numbers were toll free!,His parents chewed him out good when the phone bill arrived at his house!.

NO When I was young I rarely used the phone without permission. As I got older I knew what numbers not to call or to play with the phone.

Yes I used to call them.......
I discovered you could still get thru if the phone company blocked you from 900 numbers by dialing 0 instead... So if I dialed 09007867737 (900 stopper (Let you call ppl w/o your # showing) It even worked from Pay Phones!!! (Co cots) I stupidly told a friend of mine whos moms blocked 900s and he spent the month dialing all kinds of 900 numbers!! They got out of paying for it cause they had 900s disabled so the phone company couldnt really bill them....... (I shouldnt have told him how to do it though) Now the 900 area code has nothing in it.... You dial 900-555-1288 and ya get a recording (Used to be AT&T directory assistance) |
