Cool American Dreams (Poll)

These boards are rightfully filled with lots of worrying over the fate of American Dreams, as time goes by, it begins to look worse. I'm aware that there's already a thread on good news only, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of good news to go around. I figured I'd make a little pool, being that I have plenty of time on my hands. Feel free to add more on as it goes along.

Favorite Musical Guest Star: Up until recently it was Jennifer Love Hewitt as Nancy Sinatra, but after being blown away by Joss Stone's performance in "Starting Over", I changed my answer. The entire ending sequence was amazing.

Biggest Tear Jerker: Helen crying for JJ as the candle burned out in "What Dreams May Come". The rapid hope loss of the entire episode hit me hard.

Funniest Character: Definitely Roxanne, who's antics continually crack me up. She provides plenty of much needed lightness, especially when the show is so heavy with the drama.

Favorite "B" Character: (Anyone who is not a main cast member qualifies.) My choice is definitely Uncle Pete, with Nathan at a close second. Even though they are only guest stars, they've definitely grown from their first appearance on the show. I also like that neither is black or white, good or evil, both are loveable, but when it comes to morals, they are definitely deep shades of gray.

Most Shocking Plot Twist: Beth's pregnancy had my jaw on the floor. I'd love to know if I was the only one who didn't see this one coming.

Best Ending Sequence: One that really stuck with me was the ending of "Ticket to Ride", when Will was preparing for surgery and Jack entered the Church. Of course, "What Dreams May Come" and "Starting Over" greatly rival this one. I also loved the end of "Silent Night"...I better stop now, I'm never going to be able to stop.

Best Kiss: The one that held the most meaning was Sam and Meg's recent kiss, even if it was only the cheek. Fans had been cheering these two on for years, to finally have a kiss, as heartbreaking as it was, meant a lot to me and all of the other fans.

Favorite Episode: I'm going to go with Tidings of Comfort and Joy, the limited commercial break episode that featured several major plot points on the show. JJ's coming home had been a long time coming.

That's all I've got for now, if you can think of anything else to add to the poll, go for it. It'll be nice to have some brighter thing's to discuss. -Brian

Favorite Music Guest Star: Probably Kelly Clarkson as Brenda Lee. I really like Kelly, and she did a good job!

Biggest Tearjerker: Well, I agree with you, Jrsey.. Helen crying as JJ's Candle blew out, definietley. But also, JJ's return home had me sobbing the entire episode. Season 3 has been the most emotional season for me thusfar, how about you all?

Funniest Character: Roxanne, but also, Will has some good little lines once in awhile.

Favorite B Character: I've always enjoyed Luke as part of the storyline.

Most Shocking Plot Line: I'll agree-- Beth's pregnancy.

Best Ending Sequence: "What Dreams May Come" at the end, once the family has gotten JJ's package in the mail, and you see the war footage and also the family crying in the house-- it's the one that is set to the Stones song "Paint it Black" which is one of my all-time favorite songs, which I think made it all the more emotional. Another one that always sticks in my head is the first season finale, where Meg and Sam are in the North Philly during the riots and they are scared and hold hands. That was a huge cliffhanger and a very good end sequence.

Best Kiss: Meg and Sam, for sure.

Favorite Episode: What Dreams May Come and Tidings of Comfort and Joy

Favorite Musical Guest Star Probably Usher as Marvin Gaye or Kelly Clarkson as Brenda Lee

Biggest Tear Jerker All the scenes featuring JJ and Helen in the episode where JJ left for Vietnam and in the one where he came back. Another one was when Henry's wife died.

Funniest Character I'm gonna have to give it a tie between Roxanne and Patty. Roxanne is sassy-funny but Patty can just be hysterical at times.

Favorite "B" Character Uncle Pete and Nathan: Both of them have shown a lot of growth over the years of the show

Most Shocking Plot Twist I'd have to say Beth's pregnancy and the fact that Meg slept with Chris... I didn't think she would.

Best Ending Sequence "Silent Night", the one with Will's surgery and the recent prom episode with Meg and Sam

Best Kiss The one between Meg and Luke in "Silent Night" probably it was more because of the scenery than the kiss itself but the meaning of the kiss was pretty good too

Favorite Episode
5) "Soldier Boy"
4) "The Long Goodbye"
3) "Down the Shore"
2) "I Wanna Hold Your Hand"
1) "Tidings of Comfort and Joy"

Favorite musical guest I have to agree with Jrsy Joss Stone was my favorite.

Biggest Tear Jerker of course was "What dreams may come" that whole episodes had me on the edge of my seat, You actually felt the pain Helen was feeling.

Funniest Character While Will and Patty have their moments, Roxanne is my favorite. She is a perfect contrast to Megs usual seriousness.

Favorite B Character Uncle Pete is definatly my favorite, he always seems to get Helen going which makes me laugh plus he seems like such a "real guy"

Favorite plot twist Meg and Chris sleeping together caught me off gaurd, I didn't think she'd go through with it, but I was actually more surprised by JJ and Beth not getting pregnant but breaking up right before she found out she was pregnant. I figured they'd work it out in the end, but it did catch me off gaurd.

Best Ending Sequence I have a tie for "What Dreams may come" everytime I hear "Paint it black" I think of that episode. But also I love the ending when Helen met Jack and the kids at church to tell them JJ was coming home. I'm a sucker for happy endings.

Favorite Kiss My favorite kiss was actually the episode "home again" when JJ and Beth were taking care of John Jr. and JJ finally kissed Beth, the kiss itself wasnt' tv legendary, but the meaning that JJ still loved and connected with Beth was what I liked the most.

Favorite Episode "Tiding of comfort and Joy", "for Richer or Poorer" I loved the wedding and seeing everyone happy again and "secrets and Lies" The episode where JJ crashes Beths prom.

Favorite "B" Character: Unlce Pete

Most Shocking Plot Twist: The relationships between JJ and the vietnamese girl and Beth and the singer in the Lair.

Funniest Character:Roxanne, I love how she never takes things too seriously unless they have to do with how she looks or what people think about her.

Favorite B Character:Um, I guess I don't really have one....

Best Ending Sequence:"No Satisfaction"because I loved the way it was like happy then all of a sudden here comes Chris.(I love cliffhangers)

Best Kiss:Any time with J.J. and Beth, but I agree with ADfan the one with John Jr. in "Home again" was my favorite.
