He looks like he's on his death bed. I saw him in a wheelchair in Jet magazine awhile ago lookin sick. What happened to him? How old is he now?

Isiah, For those of you have saw the Four Tops last week at the Ulster Performing Arts Center (UPAC) in Kingston, NY. Levi Stubbs was a great vocalist. He made a lot of records during his career at Motown. I hope he's getting well soon at his wheelchair. I didn't go see them in concert because it was cost about $100 to see the show.

Levi Stubbs is ill. That was a week after their UPAC concert in Kingston. I love his voice. Long live their music. I hope he's feeling better.

I heard about that picture. I wish someone could post on this site. If he did suffer a stroke that's news to me. I heard that he had had throat problems which caused him to leave the group. He may have had the stroke later I guess?

Anyway I was listening to the Four Tops anthology CD while I was on a road trip. It made the trip even more enjoyable!

I read online somewhere that he had a massive stroke and a heart attack. I hope that he can recover. He is a legend! What a voice!

How come The Four Tops It's The Same Old Song & I Can't Help Myself songs sound alike?

Some people think that all Mowtown songs sound alike which is not surprising since they used basically one band with alternate members. Certain grougs were produced for a long time by the same producer(s). As long as they were churning out the hits they kepted at it. occasionally other producers would work with certain artist but for B sides and album cuts. In the 60's the artist didn't write their on material with few exceptions. It was usually the producers and some staff writer who toke care of that. Holland Dozier Holland worked on most of the Four Tops and Supremes material. The other big producers were Smokey Robinson and Norman Whitfield.
