First Decade - The 60's !
Best Lead Actor in a Sitcom -Fred Gwynne (as Herman Munster for "The Munsters") Best Lead Actress in a Sitcom -Mary Tyler Moore (as Laura Petrie for "The Dick Van Dyke Show") Best Supporting Actor in a Sitcom -Al Lewis (as Grandpa for "The Munsters") Best Supporting Actress in a Sitcom -Rose Marie (as Sally Rogers for "The Dick Van Dyke Show") Favorite Sitcom Family -The Stones (for "The Donna Reed Show") Most Missed Actor/Character -Don Knotts (as Barney Fife for "The Andy Griffith Show") Favorite Fantasy Sitcom -Mister Ed (A horse that talks, among other things) Favorite Military Sitcom -Hogan's Heroes Funniest Duo -Officers Toody and Muldoon (for "Car 54, Where Are You") Best of the Long Running Sitcoms -My Three Sons (12 Seasons) Funniest Neighbor -Mr. Jillson (played by Joe Besser on "The Joey Bishop Show") ================== To Vashti, I had a hard time coming up with categories. And the ones I thought of, Gilligan's Island just didn't fit. I tried to make each of the categories the same number of nominees (5). One show I left out, for the same reason as Gilligan's Island, that I really wanted to have included was "The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis." But as with all Award Shows or polls, there are plenty of actors/actresses that get left out. The toughest category for me was the Lead and Supporting Actresses. For the Lead, I had too many choices. So I had to remove a couple. Anyways, after the 60's I think I'll skip around to the 90's. Then I'll go back and fourth throughout the years. |
