Angry Why is ROCK considered music?!??!?!

I think rock music sucks and shouldn't be even considered music. I have no patience for it so I have to come on here and bash it cause I have no respect for anything or anyone elses opinions. I also think that all rock singers are talentless and their lyrics have no meaning...the use of instruments also sucks

I feel the same way about Rap music. Talk about talentless. All they are are criminals and thugs sampling other people's music and throwing some rhymes together.

I think if anyone is reading this thread they probably realized that it's a parody thread. All I'm tryna say is please have respect for other forms of music. I'm not saying you have to like it but at least respect it

Brian Damage, your perception of rap music is humorous....you've never heard a real rapper have you? And I love your image of rappers. I'm gonna go head n say that all rock musicians are greasy old men with mullets who breed with their cousins and sisters.....oh wait never mind I just described Jerry Lee Lewis

I apologize. I admit I hate rap music and love rock and roll. I would never start a thread just to bash other forms of music, but I misunderstood the thread.

meangya, i was hoping so.

my opinion of rap in general - people talking fast about their bitches and hoes with ****ty backgrund effects. i am open-minded about it.. i like eminem, his music is more unique, and various rap songs ("in da club" by 50 cent, "get busy" by sean paul) but most of it is repetitive and i don't consider it real music at all.

I AGREE TOTALLY!!! I have decided to pawn my guitar and amp and join a beer-brewing order of Crappist Monks in Belgium who do Gregorian chants. All a capella (no il castrati, of course ).

While swigging down a few 2-liter steins of ale, of course.

This next song is a song about death, and...how you shouldn't be afraid of it. Also, I wrote it on acid, so it should be pretty good..."

Rock Music isn't so bad, the harder stuff isnt so easy on the ears, but in general I dont mind Rock at all. But I cant for the life of me, understand the appeal of Rap Music. Its just a loud booming beat with somebody talking over it. It has no melody. The lyrics are usually pretty crude, and dont really inspire.

Im more into mellow stuff. I like some Country and Folk Music and Classical and Jazz. I like music where its song and lyric driven, they have great vocalists and the music doenst overpower the vocals.
