Default Golden Brooks Is Gonna Be In Beauty Shop Movie

Beauty Shop movie with Queen Latifah comes out March 30th. I saw Golden in the previews. I guess her character in the movie works at the beauty shop. What's up with all the white people in the movie? LOL. Some black girl made a joke in the previews saying to Queen, what are you trying to do, whiten up the place hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Alicia Silverstone, Andie MacDowell, Kevin Bacon(he has long hair in the movie lookin like a woman LOL) are in the movie.

The black guy who directed Beauty Shop, his name is Billie Woodruff. He's directed r&b videos before. I think he's gay cause i've seen him talk & he talks like he is. Ya'll know how gay people talk LOL.

Thumbs down

I've seen the preview and it looks like a straight to video movie too me! And with all this hip about it will make it a big bomb. As far as the white people in the movie. They can't make a "authentic" Barbershop/Beauty Shop movie without injecting somebody white and or gay! It's all about selling tickets! I've been in plenty of Barshops and my cousin owns a beauty shop and I haven't seen any white folks in there! Primararily since our culture and hair type is different.

I started to watch a beauty shop movie with Jenifer Lewis and Meagan Good in it, I can't remember the name but as soon as that black dude came in there acting all "girly" the movie was over for me!!!!!

You talkin about Nora's Hair Salon movie with Jenifer Lewis LOL. That movie is horrible hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Meagan Good wasn't in it. Tatyana Ali, Lil Kim, Tamala Jones, Bobby Brown are in it. I'm sick of seeing guys playin a gay role in these beauty shop movies too. Remember there was a gay black dude hairstylist in Deliver Us From Eva movie with Gabrielle Union & LL Cool J?

MarvinG i talked to my aunt yesterday & i asked her about Beauty Shop. She said the same thing you said about it hahahahahahahahahahahaha. She said it looks corny. Then i said to her, it looks unrealistic cause you know you will never see that many white ladies in a black beauty shop & we both laughed hahahahahahahahahahaha. She said she'll wait for me to go see it & she wants me to tell her my opinion about it.

LOL. I don't know why Jada had a gay dude roommate in that movie. For some reason now, movie directors have to have at least one gay dude in these black movies & i don't know why. I don't wanna see gay people in black movies. I don't like gays so that's why i'm against seeing actors portray gay people. I was surprised that Will Smith, Queen Latifah, Isaiah Washington, Harry Lennix & other actors have played gay characters in movies but they're the ones that have to live with themselves playing a role like that.

Isiah, I hate to see gays portrayed in black movies as well, but I'm afraid it is reality. It is this dike woman that works with me (she's black) she goes both ways. She is not afraid to let you know she likes women. Her brother is gay and he works in a beauty shop. Looks like at birth the two genetics got mixed up. LOL She showed me a picture of him and I almost cracked up in her face. You know how you can tell how a fa-gg-ot looks? His hair was slick, he had a box curl, and he just looked fruity period. But she was proud of him. But yeah, there are a lot of gays in beauty shops in reality.

I saw Beauty Shop Saturday & it's a excellent movie. Golden Brooks was funny & lookin good of course. The cast was great. LisaRaye had a small part in it & so did Russell Simmons wife Kimora Simmons. Adele Givens & Laura Hayes who were in The Queens Of Comedy standup movie were in it. Laura was Queen Latifah's mother in law. Adele & Laura are so funny. Keisha Knight Pulliam who was Rudy on The Cosby Show was in it as Queen Latifah's sister in law. Keisha looks so good now. She has really grown. Alicia Silverstone looked good in the movie. Kevin Bacon looked like a fa**ot in the movie LOL. He was Queen Latifah's boss before she got her own beauty shop. Lil JJ had me crackin up laughin. He's a funny dude. He's been on BET's Coming To The Stage. Ya'll check out Beauty Shop. Queen Latifah is sexy to me. She got a nice body & she's a cutiepie. There was one scene where she quit her job at Kevin Bacon's beauty shop & he told her he hopes that she falls on her butt. She said i got enough cushion, you wanna kiss it hahahahahahahahaha. She said i don't think so. I'd kiss her butt hahahahahahahahahaha. She got enough to kiss hahahahahahahahahaha. Queen Latifah's daughter in the movie is cute. I've seen her before as DMX's daughter in Cradle 2 The Grave movie.

Let me just say this about Beauty Sop: They could have gave Queen Latifah a daughter that looks like her. C'mon now, just cause they are both black, that don't mean everybody can play relatives! That girl look like she could have been adopted! The producers didn't do that good of a search.

Isiah, sometimes I post on IMDB.com message board, and this racist chump name micC on there all he did was crap on Beauty Shop and said the worse movies he seen were Barbershop 1 and 2. When you get the chance, check it out. Go to IMDB.com, type in Beauty Shop, and scroll down to the message boards, you will see. That jack ass didn't say nothing positive about the movie and I think he should get banned from the website.

I saw Beauty Shop and I lilked it as well. I wanted to see it because I'm a fan of Alicia Silverstone. She was completely different then her character from Clueless. The lady who came into the beauty shop selling soul food was funny; she was the one making the monkey noises. That was funny.

LOL@the way Alicia Silverstone was dancing at the club with Bryce Wilson in Beauty Shop hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. She was dancing like a black girl LOL. Bryce Wilson used to be in the r&b group Groove Theory for those who don't know. Sheryl Underwood was the one who was sellin soul food at the beauty salon. She's funny. These 2 black ladies that were sittin behind me at the movies said Sheryl looks like Wesley Snipes hahahahahahahahaha.

I saw that flick when I was killing time last Friday. It was aiight, not great, not terrible. The little girl was DMX's daughter in Cradle to Grave. It appears that she can really play the piano.

The dude from Groove Theory's character might've been bisexual, it was never clearly established that he wasn't into dudes, but I think they were trying to drive home the point that he was a straight metrosexual dude. Truth is, if a straight dude worked in a salon, he'd probably be sleeping with at least 2 of the female beauticians.
