He resigned due to health problems? I'm guessin that's what it is cause that's why he took some time off recently. Well we'll see what Avery Johnson does with the team. I think he'll make a good coach cause he has a lot of knowledge about basketball & he was a good player when he played.

I'm surprised Don Nelson didn't step down years ago. I think he was preparing Avery Johnson for the job when he sat in for him a bunch of times.

im going to miss don nelson but ive always been a huge avery johnson fan so im glad he got the job

LOL@Avery Johnson yellin at Jason Terry & Darrell Armstrong last night when Dallas was beating the Hornets 101-78 with 14 seconds left in the 4th quarter. A white boy for the Hornets hit a three pointer when the score was 101-75 & Avery made his team call a time out cause he hit a three pointer. He was mad at them cause they didn't play defense when he hit that shot hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

avery always tended to get a little overexcited as a player when things didnt go the way he thought they should but i hope thats not going to be his regular coaching style players dont respond well to secreaming look at how many jobs doug collins has lost with that yelling in your face style of coaching

You're right. Yellin at players doesn't work. You know who i'm surprised that still has a coaching job? Bobby Knight. This dude has been screaming at college basketball players his entire career & i'm very surprised Texas Tech gave his ignorant ass a job after Indiana fired him.
