Default Petrie House Makeover?

Do you think rob & Laura's house could use a makeover? I do, and I have for years. The home makeover shows are really popular these days, and maybe that's why I'm thinking in this direction. If you agree, which room(s) would you redo, and how?

The master bedroom needs a makeover for sure! Those twin beds must go!!!
A nice king size four-poster bed would be nice with a matching TV armoire and dresser. The room would be painted in Monticello (the home of Thomas Jefferson) green and there would be moss green silk curtains on the window and matching duvet cover on the down comforter on the bed. There would be hardwood floors with oriental rug under the bed and a Queen Anne chair in the room. There would be two end tables, one on each side of that big bed with a crystal lamp on each. Any other suggestions?

IMO their living/dining room is perfect. I would love to have that room myself. I would get a dishwasher for the kitchen, and I like to imagine that if it was a real house, that there would more counter and cabinets along the wall that would be where we view the kitchen from.

Great suggestions, ladies.
Now, let's give Rob a 2 1/2 car, heated garage with automatic doors, a hot & cold running utility sink, and a sealed concrete floor with a drain built in. Also, finished walls with storage cabinets, a workspace, and ample GFI electrical outlets. Cool !

Oh yeah. How about some new and better pictures on the walls???
I don't know who chose those or why, but they really need to be replaced!

By all means Nora, Start! With your trained eye, I'd love to hear what you'd do with the place.

This is a bit off the topic, but has anyone noticed the episode where Rob and Laura were in a room that only had one king-sized bed? I'm sure a lot of DVD fans can guess the ep. I think it only happened this one time, and of course they were never shown lying down in it, either alone or together.

It is in "Never Bathe on Saturday" in the hotel suite. Rob looks around the room and says "There are some neat places in here" to which the audience responds with understanding laughter.

Ahem. Let me put it this way. I'm a bachelors degree student going towards my degree in interior design. Thus far I have completed two (count 'em, TWO) classes in a four year program...neither of which have anything to do with interior design! I have a good eye and love interior design, which is why I'm going for the degree, but don't have the expertise to give a good, informed opinion of a makeover yet!

Yes, but I think in at least one episode it was 448 instead of 148. Also, in "The Curious Thing About Women", I noticed that the address on the box that the inflatable raft was in had a third, different house number. I can't remember exactly what it was, but I think it was something like 768 for the house number.
