Default If Michelle not getting punished annoys you, tell them to mention it

We see less than 1% of a fictional familly's lives in an averge sitcom. I have written Warner Home Video - at 3903 West Olive Avenue, Room 3144 Burbank, CA 91505 urging them to mention a small part of that other 99% - how Michelle was disciplined. (Though I think WHV's is a better one, the WB address is 4000 Warner Blvd., Burbank, 29152)

Please, write urging them to mention how Michelle was disciplined. With all of us banding together, we can get them to put this stuff on their DVDs. And who knows, maybe even animation of D.J. sitting her int he corner or scolding her.

As I told them, there's no way a child goes without a timeout or privileges being revoked till almost age 4 without being way more wild than she was. And after tht, if Danny punished her with the old chair in the corner or used timeout in her room, fine. I'm not going to cover what I've mentioned, I urge you all to tell them whatever you want to about how you think D.J. - as the replacement for Pam since none of the menw ould be - handled Michelle.

Danny is too weak because he still misses Pam. I think he really needed D>J. backing him up the first few times anyway (I don't think Michelle dives into those samples if D.J.'s there). To Danny, it seems like he's lost without Pam,a nd wants Michelle tos tay little because she wouldn't need disciplined then, but also because that's how she was when Pam was alive. And, he can't bear the thought of trying to discipline without Pam when it comes to Michelle.

But, by all means, they can mention wht happened between scenes or between episodes about how D.J. handled the results of Michelle getting away withs oemthing from Danny.

I will mention one thing. Michelle gets kind of rude to D.J. in "All Stood Up" by trying to trick D>J. intodoing the dishes herself, so D.J. dareas Michelle into doing them instead. And, Michelle obeys when D.J. makes her rakes the leves she kicked over in "Crimes and Michelle's Misdemeanor." I think D>J.'s own chores played a big part, as did D>J. removing privileges of Michelle's perhaps even daring her out of them. I think she easily could have saved chores in reserve, too, for when Michelle was naughty. That's the way to go, It hink. Danny would approve - less worries for him. And, I think Michelle would listen.

I think D.J. used timeout, too. It's canon Danny never hit anyway ("Silence Is Not Golden) and his character's not the type to fwap her ont eh bottom anyway. D.J. *might* as a last resort - but Michelle's sensitive enough to only need light fwaps once, she'd consider that a spanking. (I know kids on whom a series of light fwaps that didn't hurt their bottom worked very well, and Michelle is very sensitive.) And, truthfully, to me, D.J.'s tricky enough that's not going to be needed anyway. I think the chores thing could have even been put in there to give the writers a way to say, "Hey, look, Michelle always did get punished. D.J.'s not selfish enough to force her chores on her sisters for no reason, and Danny wouldn't let her anyway. But as punishment, sure." And if those didn't work, Michelle sat int he corner for a while or at least went to ehr room till they did.

Anyway, the chores thing's what I'd recommend, but of course, it would be good to know that D.J. lectured/scolded and stuff, too. But, whatever you feel, or if you just want to write to urge them to admit D.J. served as a loving disciplinarian, so they're not having Michelle get away with everything, by all means, write.
