Default The TV Land Awards turned into the Music Awards Show-lol

TV Land Awards gets an D+. I'm a big Soul Train Fan but the tribute lasted too long for an award show about Classic TV. Showing Clips of Soul Train Performances from Each Year to Now would have been much better than having 5 different singers perform on Stage like it was the Grammys. If I'm watching the TV LAND Awards, 75% should be devoted to TV and 25% to whatever else. But not 55% To TV and 45% to Music. Bad Awards Show last Night.

Yeah If I wanted to see Mya, Ashanti, Smokey Robinson, and Stevie Wonder perform on Stage I could have just watched the Music Awards. I felt like I was watching the TVammys'-LOL

yeah, I didn't think it was quite right when Soul Train got a longer tribute than The Bob Newhart Show, Aaron Spelling, or The Carol Burnett Show. I personally would have loved to have seen more clips go with those 3 than Soul Train take up a good 15 minutes or so.

I enjoyed the Soul Train tribute, and I'm a big Soul Train fan myself, but I'll agree it did lasted too long. It lasted longer than the Aaron Spelling tribute, who I think deserved as much time. I think Cederick had a lot of pull in that.
The TvLand awards are not all that anyway, it is obvious scripted.

Solomon for once I agree, I was bored during that segment cause it was so long heck, the Bob Newhart Show tribute should have lasted longer than the Soul Train tribute IMO.

Only Smokey and Stevie should have performed as far as I was concerned! But I agree with the rest of you all it was a bit long.

The last two award shows were WAY better than this years. They concintrated more on tributes(especially Soul Train which was too long) than giving out awards this year
