anyone here do the whole "Slimfast" diet thing. I was thinking about trying it for like a month, just to see if it could help me w/ my portion control problems... plus to loose the 5lbs i gained during midterms

just wonderin if anyone has had any experience w/ it

My mom is on it. She drinks the shakes and the smoothies for breakfast and lunch. I think she said she's lost about 5 lbs.

I know they have some good snack bars though.

The shakes are really good. I have the strawberry one quite often.

I like them. I have a bunch of SlimFast shakes and meal bars in the pantry, but I dont use it like youre supposed to- otherwise Id get bored with it. I use them though when I need a lunch for work and Im in a rush in the morning. Theyre really good too and do help you portion control.

Sure they work. Everything works if you stick to it. But after a while you will get sick of it... and if you get OFF the diet, you'll probably end up gaining most of the weight back anyway. (Plus MORE, sometimes! )

But there ARE some people who will stay on this diet and do very well with it.

Unless you are using the new low carb ones they are crap, you might as well drink soda it's got more sugar in it than that. I think the low carb ones have like 2 grams of sugar. They taste like crap too. Try the Atkins shakes they are good and only 1 gram of sugar. I lost 10 lbs in 2 weeks on those a couple years ago.

I dunno what kind i bought... let me look... Milk Chocolate Optima.. it says 45% less sugar... it's got 6grams of sugar, 4 grams of carb... 18 grams of carb... and of course that all goes up some when I had the Skim milk

Well, I figured you hadn't started on the diet yet (and you've never implied that you have at the time you posted), so there was no need for encouragement if you hadn't started yet, right?

I was merely informing you of the cons of Slimfast, with a dash of pro at the end. Why is that so bad?

you are such a hypocrit... please refer to the "WTF?????????" post where you tended to jump everyone that wasn't very encouraging... plus, i was only kidding.
