It appears that Nick at Nite will be airing the episodes in production order. This is a surprise since usually they air the episodes in airdate order. I personally am glad, since NBC often didn't air episodes until later seasons. Also, Nick at Nite is airing the episode Give Uncle Arthur a Kiss, this episode had the potential of being skipped due to controversy. Also, expect holiday episodes to be skipped and shown at their respective holiday.

I'm no TV expert, but *seasons*? Doesn't that sound kinda off? Maybe I misunderstood what you meant, but I'm curious as to why they would wait that long to show an ep.

Yes it sounds very strange, but it is true. Actually, pretty much every single episode was originally aired out of order (based on the intended order) on NBC - Some episodes even heavily out of order (such as years later).

I think they did the same in Scandinavia, although I'm not sure - I do know they didn't air the episodes in order either, though.

I have no idea why, but it doesn't seem to be anything too unusual about Family Ties. They did the same with Saved by the Bell, and probably other shows as well.

Take a look at the episode guide on either my web site or this site (The information should be the same on both sites) - The listed order is Paramount's intended order, while you can see the original air date after each episode. As you can see, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense...

Sincerely,

I noticed the difference and wondered what was up with that. In college I took a radio and teleivision programming class, and we learned that some pilot, such as the one for Star Trek, didn't air as the first show, so I guess it isn't too unusual to switch other eps around. It doesn't make sense to me though either. It is nice to know, however, that I wasn't reading it wrong!
