Default 16 March 2005 "California Dreamin'" [SPOILERS]

Let me just say, the last few seconds of the promo for next week's episode, when the announcer said something like "Be there for the last two episodes... of the season" was too much. I was half-expecting to hear "last two episodes of the series," rather than of the season.

Anyway, I have mixed feelings about this episode. I do not think the whole LA storyline really worked that well. Too much seemed to be stuffed into this one episode, and the LA plot pushed it over the line. JJ and Patty and football, poor Uncle Pete, Jack and the paper, Nathan and Cynthia, Jack telling Henry about the bribe, Jack telling Helen about the bribe, and then all the storylines in LA: meeting Barbara Eden, Meg and the flower children, Meg and Roxanne fighting... too much, just too much. Good on JJ for convincing that guy to give him a job, though.

An entire episode in LA, with only a few scenes back home, would have worked better as an LA episode, but it would have left out everyone else in the cast. And only giving a few scenes to LA would have seemed like a rip-off. So really, I think going to LA was a mistake. It hardly furthured the plot and aside from the Paris Hilton cameo, it really was not that interesting to watch.

I actually loved tonight's episode. I thought it was great!!

I feel bad for the writers because they have to condense all the stories they wanted to write into only 17 episodes, so they have to overstuff, somewhere, right? I think they did a good job of it, personally, but I agree...it was alot.

I thought the episode was very well done overall.

And when the promo came on, I thought the same thing you did...I almost cried!

I think the intent of going to Calf. from what I've read is to have Meg there so they can bring up the Chris thing again. From what I understand they see him there. In fact I was half expecting it tonight, but previews showed it will be next week. Other wise I get what you're saying it was a jam packed episode, but as always they pulled it off. The whole show kept me on the edge of my seat because it was so packed in. I felt like anything could of occurred. I totally agree when the announcer said the last two episodes, I rewinded just to make sure he said series not season. I can't believe only two more left!!!!

So much always going on, scenes switching back and forth at a pretty rapid pace is for *me* what keeps the show so exciting.

That is one of the things that I love about AD, always so much going on.

I thought tonight's show was (as Tony the Tiger would say), GUUUURRRRRR-ATE!

I like the scene switching in AD. I like how when one scene ends, you are kind of left hanging, and then at the beggining of the other scene, the dialogue expresses the exact sentiment you are feeling. Does anybody know what I mean? I love the way scenes move in AD. And I loved the music last night!!!

Red face Why Chris and Not sam

WHy is it they are content with shoving Chris (Milo) down our thoarts? I can't stand Chris....why can't they give sam and meg some time together. I swear Meg wants to change the world, why can't she get over JJ and move on. I want to see Meg and Sam TOGETHER before NBC says no morry. Do you hear me NBC MEG and SAM no chris,no milo...give me a freakin' break!

I am really pulling for Meg and Sam as well! If the show does end, which I really hope it doesn't, I hope it ends with Meg and Sam together, because in my opinion, they belong together.
