Default Death for Peterson

Scott Peterson sentenced to death
Jury earlier found him guilty of murdering wife, fetusNBC News and news services
Updated: 1:35 p.m. ET March 16, 2005REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - A judge on Wednesday sentenced Scott Peterson to die for the murder of his wife and their unborn child.

Judge Alfred Delucchi had to decide whether to sentence Peterson to death — as a jury recommended — or give him life in prison without the possibility of parole.

In upholding the jury's recommendation, the judge found that the killings "were cruel, uncaring, heartless and callous."

"The court is satisfied beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant, Scott Lee Peterson, is guilty of first-degree murder," Delucchi said.

His wife and unborn child probably didn't believe in the death penalty they received either.

Government enforced death penalty is a little different.

What does it matter? Either way you're dead. The only difference is one party chose to commit an act that might lead to their own death and the other party did nothing to warrant their death.
Peterson is getting what he deserved, imo.

Well said. I believe he deserves the death penalty. Too bad this is in California, we'll be lucky if they actually go through with it. If this had happened in Texas, they probably would have had him strapped to the gurney by now.

i don't really protest the death penalty, but it is ridiculous. all it is is killing people who kill people to show that killing people is wrong. what a laugh.

Don't worry, he's got a good few years of mental and physical abuse coming his way.

I hear they already made a banner for his cell, it reads:

ASS - It's Not Just For Pooping Anymore.

I don't believe in the death penalty, but... most of me agrees this is what he deserves.

Yeah... if the government is going to go against it's laws and kill someone, at least fry them and make 'em suffer! I mean, really. Lethal Injection is far too kind.

If this means I no longer have to hear about Scott Peterson...

Then I'm all for it!
