Was Beaver's Eskimo sweater a boy's sweater or a girl's sweater?

ya know, i honestly didn't look at it as either, i just thought it could be either one. i picked that it was gender neutral, it could be for either a boy or a girl. it really didn't have a look that is specified for either gender specifically.

What I never understood was why Beaver and Larry freaked out when they saw Judy Hensler wearing the same sweater. Why didn't they just start teasing her, saying that SHE was wearing a BOYS sweater! It would have served her right. God, she was such an instigator!
