We can each describe either rides or sitcom museums or whatever that could make for a cool theme park. For example, what characters would walk around?
-A "Taxi" ride. It's on a track, because the driver is a robot version of Christopher Lloyd's Jim Ignatowski. Danny DeVito provides the voice of Louie DePalma, who speaks to Jim once in a while, via the intercom. You get in the back of the cab and it takes you for a ride around the park. There would be three cabs. One would feature Jim Ignatowski, the other would be Alex Reiger and the last would be Elaine Nardo. They wouldn't be able to talk to you, obviously. It would just be cool. -A "Wings" ride. Much like the Taxi, except this would be the Sandpiper plane, with both Hackett brothers sitting in the front. It would be on a roller coaster like track, and would allow you to see the whole park from the sky. It would land next to the "Wings" set, with wax figures of Helen, Roy and Lowell. A guy dressed up as Fonzie, would walk around greeting fans. There would also be ALF and Mister Ed walking around. Any of these TV actors that are willing to appear there, would be welcomed. There would be places to eat. The Max (from Saved by the Bell) Arnolds (from Happy Days) and Cheers (from Cheers). Each of these would have the sets recreated without robots or wax figures. Only because these would be actual places to eat and drink and not exhibits. Okay, maybe we'd have a Norm wax figure at the stool (with George Wendt's permission of course). Anybody else with ideas? |

Fisrt of all, let's lay out this theme park. In Disneyland, there's Adventureland, Frontierland, and so on. In Sitcomland, we can lay out the park in decades. There'd be 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90's, and 2000s, with sitcom attractions situated in the decades during which they aired.
In the 60s area, there can be a Gilligan's Island ride. We can have an island off the mainland called The Uncharted Desert Isle. Passengers sit in a little car on the SS Minnow which takes them to the island. During the short trip, the boat's surface rocks back and forth as if it were in a storm. When the boat reaches the island -- in less than three hours, though -- the car moves off the boat on tracks and carries passengers around the island and through the huts where animitronic Gilligan's Island cast members do their things! Then the cars get back on the boat and take the riders back to the 60s part of the mainland. There can be an I Dream of Jeannie parachute jump, where riders plunge into the bottle and emerge through a door in the bottom. Thoughout the park, there are loudspeakers broadcasting canned laughter at various intervals. |

Punky Brewster's treehouse should definitely feature... and um a run-down housing project for Good Times... oh yeah!

I think this might be a great idea for a sitcom theme park. This makes Disneyland even better 50 years ago.

Jump on the Love Boat. It will be a 15 minute cruise around the ocean and back. For all you dummies, go play in Sanford's junkyard. Go to the scary house and meet the Munsters and Addams Family.

Maybe we could get unknown actors to act out scenes from shows at a theater inside the park.

What about the Magic Masion? Visit My Favorite Martian, Bewitched, I Dream Of Jeannie, and Mr. Merlin. Also, up the block is the Science Fiction Set, featuring Mork from Planet Ork, Alf, also take a visit to the Twilight Zone. When your done with that, go to the Outer Limits. You will be out of this world!

If I might add one to the bar consession, I would love to spend time in either the Officer's Club or Rosie's Bar from M*A*S*H. |
