Default Anybody familiar with the band "Heatwave?"

They were famous for song like, "Boogie Nights", "Ain't No Half Steppin", "The Groove Line" "Mind Blowing Decisions" and my personal favorite, "Always and Forever." Always and Forever is my favorite love song of all time, baby! Rod Temperton, who played piano, keyboards, and synthesizer for the band, wrote songs like "Rock With You" for Michael Jackson and "Give Me the Night" for George Benson.

Cool

I had their album in 1979. I basically bought it because some of the hot cheerleaders back in junior high were doing a routine with it and that got me interested in them. Not a bad album.

I saw them performing last week on PBS channel 70's soul concert that Patti Labelle hosted. I like their Groove Line & Boogie Nights songs. How come those songs sound alike? I didn't know Rod Temperton was a group member of their's. I know he produced songs for Michael Jackson's Off The Wall & Thriller albums.

I have their first two albums, but I love Too Hot To Handle, their debut.
There's not a weak track on that album. Rod Temperton penned every song on this album. "Boogie Nights" to the classic "Always And Forever" being the hits. In retrospect, Epic should have released "Ain't No Half Steppin" as a single since it's proven to be a popular sample tune.

Boogie Nights and The Groove Line are both great songs, you can definately tell that "Off The Wall" by MJ was a Rod Temperton track.

I liked them when they came out originally! And for me that was rare. It was a shame when their original lead singer became paralyzed in a car accident after their second album came out.

Heatwave was a great group. I love the songs "Boogie Nights", "The Groove Line" and "Always and Forever", which is my mom's favorite song.

Oh yeah, I know Heatwave...I love the "Boogie Nights" song; it's played on the "disco show" that's broadcast by the Emperor Rosko on the "oldies" station that I tune into in England.
