WKRP Announcer - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Anyone know the name of the WKRP main announcer? I'm talking about the guy who voiced the Les Nesman news intros and also said (in the original syndication package) "WKRP in Cincinnati will be back after this", right before the final commercial break in each show.

his name is william woodson he also did the orignal intro for the odd couple and took over the narration from ted knight on the superfriends cartoon show if you want to see him in an acting role check out the uncle billys visit ep of leave it to beaver he appers as mr. gaines
